Ever since childhood, am still so attached to the Pingu series.. If you are an 80’s kid then you would have watched at least one video of it in Doordashan.
So is the character made using paper quilling,

“Team work never fails“.. yes, it’s true.. had full support from friends @ Crazy Pencilz Studio to help in getting the butterfly ready…
None of them knew what paper quilling was but within few minutes they were all rolling the paper strips to get the butterfly done.. What spirit!!!
Yeah!!! It was last fixed by Ashok, my dearest bro [Testing his patience and concentration level]…
So, this below art work was not done by me fully.. I was just part of the butterfly making.. 😀

Mixed feelings and lots of confused thoughts… Wanted me to learn something new…
I know, you could have asked me… why you didn’t paint… I needed someone to push me to do things and also to sit with me when I do it[to avoid getting pulled back to my thoughts] .. and the best solution was to attend some class…
I got to see a post on FB by “Christina Art Studio” on Paper Quilling weekend workshop… It was really a treat after a hard day work…
Truly speaking, I felt lot relaxed and was fully concentrating on the art. It was fun to learn the basics and advanced techniques of paper quilling.
The process was like magic – Roll the paper strips, Glue the rolled paper strip loose end and press the rolled paper to form shapes.
A special thanks to My Tutor, a passionate young girl who took individual care to see us learn the craft. [Hat’s off!!! for your teaching passion]
Also, Thanks to my hubby for being supportive and pushing me to learn it!!!
Below are few practices done –
